这些称呼是比较“英国本土化的”，一般都在球员、英国媒体、英国人之间流通。外人未必完全100%听得明白。

如香川当年加盟曼联接受访问时一直提到的“the hole”。

The Engine Room

In a figurative sense, one of the worst places a footballer can find himself is on the periphery, from where it is very difficult to get into the game.
