站在达姆森公园球场（Damson Park）破旧的大门前，我感觉自己好像做了一个错误的决定。
这里看起来并不像是一支球队的球场，倒更像是个大停车场……
几天前，我接到了索利赫尔沼泽俱乐部（Solihull Moors Football Club）的主席科林斯先生（Nigel Collins）的电话，当时我就震惊了，他居然说想让我——一名普通的中国留学生成为这家小球队的主教练！
如果不是那个电话，我早已忘记当初头脑发热寄出的执教申请了。
那天晚上，刚刚拿到欧足联承认的教练资格证书的我跟朋友们一起庆祝，毕竟成为一名足球主教练是我毕生的梦想。
在国内踢过几年业余比赛的我对于中国足球的黑暗相当了解，就在我为将来的出路头疼不已的时候，来自伯明翰本地的一位朋友递给我一份《伯明翰邮报》，他说：“未来的世界名帅，你的机会来了！”
在报纸上不起眼的角落里刊登了这样一则消息：“福克纳（Bob Faulkner）因病辞去索利赫尔主帅一职。”——福克纳先生被称为业余组联赛北部赛区的“弗格森”，他漫长的执教生涯让人赞叹不已。但是被查出癌症晚期的他不得不离开……刚刚成立3个赛季的索利赫尔沼泽失去了他们的“船长”，他们正在寻找新的继任者。
在朋友们的怂恿下，我决定去尝试一下，人生就是不断在挑战自我嘛！

伯明翰地区是英格兰重要的工业基地，这里的足球氛围也是非常浓厚的。在即将开始的英超联赛里有三支球队来自伯明翰地区，分别是伯明翰（Birmingham City）、阿斯顿维拉（Aston Villa）和西布罗姆维奇（West Bromwich）。索利赫尔沼泽俱乐部（Solihull Moors FC）就位于伯明翰市最大的一个镇索利赫尔（Solihull），恰好位于伯明翰和考文垂之间的索利赫尔是著名的路虎汽车的总部和制造基地所在地。

而索利赫尔沼泽俱乐部的主场达姆森公园球场坐落在索利赫尔镇的东北角，紧挨着埃尔姆登公园（Elmdon Park），北方不远就是伯明翰国际机场（Birmingham International Airport）。

虽然对于即将到来的会面有疑虑，我还是好好做了一番功课的，对于索利赫尔的这支球队有了一些基本的印象。

索利赫尔沼泽俱乐部（Solihull Moors FC）是英格兰联赛中成立时间最晚的球队之一。在2007年7月10日，成立于1953年的Solihull Borough和成立于1901年的Moor Green宣布合并成立新的索利赫尔沼泽俱乐部（Solihull Moors FC），新球队的主场使用Solihull Borough的主场达姆森公园球场，前Solihull Borough主席史蒂文森（Trevor Stevens）成为球队的首任主席，执教Moor Green超过20个赛季的老帅福克纳（Bob Faulkner）成为球队的主教练。Solihull Moors FC顶替了Moor Green的位置，在07-08赛季中最终排名联赛第17位，艰难保级成功。在之后的两个赛季里，索利赫尔并没有取得太大的进步。
而达姆森公园球场并不完全属于索利赫尔，还有一家橄榄球俱乐部Pertemps Bees的主场也位于此。

On 10 July 2007, the club was formally announced as being merged and details of the new club logo and kits for the forthcoming season were released.
In one of their first games Solihull Moors beat Birmingham City reserves. This fixture happens annually as part of an agreement which allows Birmingham to play their reserve games at Solihull's ground.
In November 2007 the club announced a partnership with National Division One rugby union club Pertemps Bees. The deal will see the two clubs share the Damson Park facilities as well as the formation of community and coaching projects for Solihull. This was finally made official in 2010.

Formed in the summer of 2007,Solihull Moors Football Club are one of the youngest clubs in senior English football. The club was created following the merger of Moor Green Football Club and Solihull Borough Football Club.

The new club took the place of Moor Green in the Blue Square Premier Division, with the club playing their home games at Damson Park, the
home of Solihull Borough since 2000.
Trevor Stevens, formerly the chairman of Solihull Borough, was appointed the first chairman of Solihull Moors and Bob Faulkner, manager of the Moor Green first team for over 20 years was installed as the manager. Joe McCorigan and Geoff Hood, both long time stalwarts of Solihull and Moor Green respectively were named as Life Presidents of Solihull Moors. Sadly, Joe passed away in January 2009 and is sadly missed.

The Moors first competitive game was a 1-1 draw at home to Barrow AFC on August 11th 2007, with a 90th minute equalizer from Darren Middleton, earning him the accolade of scoring the first league goal for Solihull Moors. The first win came two weeks later with a 3-1 home victory over Gainsborough Trinity coming courtesy of goals from Adam Fry, Darren Middleton and Danny Davidson. The remainder of the campaign proved a struggle with the team rarely out of the bottom six in the league table. Survival was confirmed after the 40th league game of the season with a memorable 2-1 victory at Blyth Spartans on the penultimate Tuesday of the season. Andy Ducros was the goalscoring hero with a brace of goals.
There was a decent run in the FA Cup, as the fourth qualifying round was reached. A 3-0 win at Soham Town Rangers, with Jason Moore scoring the first ever Solihull hat trick, and then an unforgettable 2-1 win at Blue Square North leaders Kettering Town. However, the Moors failed to reach the first round proper of the FA Cup after a 5-0 defeat at Blue Square Premier outfit Rushden & Diamonds.

Season 2008/09 proved to be a struggle with
only two points being gained from the first five games. In truth, it was the away form which kept the Moors s-u-c-ked in at the wrong end of the table
with only 16 points being collected away from Damson Park. Solihull finished in 16th position, with a better points total than the previous season and also one point better off, so progress of some sort was made.

Whilst the first team was battling at the wrong end of the table, the youth team were having a storming season. They finished as champions of the Midland Floodlit Youth League, finishing ten points clear of AFC Telford United and also
reached the second round proper of the FA Youth Cup before finally bowing out 2-0 at home to Tranmere Rovers in a tense, close game. Earlier in the competition, Solihull had caught the attention of many people with a comprehensive 18-0 win over Wellington in a qualifying round. The semi finals of the League Cup was reached before a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to eventual winners, Kidderminster Harriers.

Such was the success of the youth team that five players were promoted to the first team during the season and all five has signed for the first team again for season 2009/10.

在门卫的指引下我走进了这家俱乐部的办公楼，这只是一座普通的二层小楼。
在二楼的走廊墙壁上，我看到了这支球队在09-10赛季的全家福。


中间位置的就是福克纳先生（现实中的福克纳在2011年2月7日因癌症去世……）

在二楼尽头的办公室里，俱乐部的现任主席科林斯先生热情地招待了我。
他坦承，球队目前的情况相当糟糕，由于福克纳的突然离职，球队面临着巨大的危机。
但是数周过去了，当地没有主教练肯接手这个烂摊子，他不得不尽快为球队找到新的主帅。
而我是到目前为止唯一一个主动申请执教的……当然，我的教练资格证书才是他选择我的关键因素。
科林斯先生的坦率以及他对球队的热爱感动了我，我决定留下来。

2010年7月6日，来自中国的Zhang Chuanxin成为了小球队索利赫尔的新任主帅……
我将永远记住这个值得纪念的日子！
不过，我并不知道，未来将会怎样……
科林斯先生给我提供了一份为期两年的合同，对于一名从未证明过自己执教能力的菜鸟教练，这已经相当不错了。
他还允许我自行组建教练团队，不过初来乍到的我还是拒绝了这一建议，毕竟球队的稳定才是最重要的。

这个工资比回国当个普通教练要高多了……

索利赫尔目前是一家半职业俱乐部，2007年始建的它并没有神马显赫的历史。

科林斯先生向我介绍了球队目前的助理教练摩尔（Mickey Moore），教练组还有一名成员雷切尔（Adam Rachel）。

43岁的摩尔是前任主帅福克纳先生的助手，当然在这个级别的联赛里就不要指望他们有多么出色的能力了……

在摩尔的介绍下，我对于索利赫尔这支球队有了更为深入的了解。
虽然只是英格兰联赛成百上千球队中的普通一员，索利赫尔也是有着自己的拥趸的，在当地有着不小的影响力。

由于当初球队是合并成立的，球队的管理层居然有着多达7名的总监……

摩尔带领我在俱乐部里转了一圈，考察了球队的各种设施。
索利赫尔的训练设施和青训设施都是最基本的，而办公场所就是刚才的那座二层小楼。
至于球队的青训系统……就不必说了。

跟伯明翰地区的三支英超球队比起来，索利赫尔只能算是小虾米级别的……
球队的主场达姆森公园球场可以容纳3050名观众，不过其中只有280个坐席。
这座建于1995年的球场是俱乐部最具价值的资产。

最近时间不多，先开个坑，不定时更新吧……

开档英格兰六级联赛+最小数据库，大约10000球员。
LLM规则自然要严格遵守的，这次就不找关联俱乐部了，当然租借球员还是不能避免的。
训练神马的都直接使用默认，反正球员的合同都是兼职的。

从摩尔给我的球员资料可以看出，他对于球队的阵容还是相当满意的……
不过要是真的如此，索利赫尔怎么会沦落到连续三个赛季保级的地步？

摩尔对于年轻的中后卫奥洛林（Charlie O'Loughlin）相当看好，他认为这名身材高大的球员是球队后防线上的支柱。

21岁的奥洛林是伯明翰人，他是刚刚从伊肯斯顿（Ilkeston）转会过来的，上赛季他在联赛中出场37次，攻入2球。

从摩尔的报告来看，索利赫尔在联赛里算是一支年轻的富有朝气的球队，身高和速度优势是面对其他球队时可以利用的，不过控球、传球等就有些糟糕，球队目前还有不少短板，例如左右后卫的位置需要尽快补强。

俱乐部现在账面上只有不到1万英镑的资金……
居然还有一份长达5年每赛季5K的球衣赞助合同……

考虑到球队目前的情况以及我的执教经验，我还是选择了稳妥的赛季目标。

没有转会费可以用，我们只能去自由市场寻找合适的球员或者内部挖潜了。
