Strontium is the second main group element in the periodic table, which has the same valence as calcium, and it exists in trace amounts in natural bone tissue. At present, it is more and more used in bone tissue engineering, such as β-TCP,CCP,HA and more. [1]. Strontium is known to promote synthesis and anti-absorption in human bone tissue, and its ranelate has been used in the treatment of osteoporosis [13Mel 16]. Previous studies have shown that silicate bioceramics with Sr elements have better properties of promoting bone regeneration and inhibiting bone resorption, indicating that Sr can improve the osteogenic activity of silicate bioceramics. However, as far as we know, the effect of strontium and magnesium co-doping on calcium silicate bioceramics has not been well studied. |
