A pulsating game between two old rivials saw Boston United triumph against Kettering Town as Paul Cox's unbeaten run was ended 2-1 at York Street. The Poppies battered Boston in the second half, with Tre Mitford (above) equalising Jake Wright's opener for the hosts. A defensive error allowed Wright to score his second of the game, and despite the Poppies onslaught on Peter Crook's goal, Cox's side couldn't get the ball into the net.
The club is happy to announce that striker Tre Mitford has signed a contract with the club until May 2021. He made his debut against Hereford in September and has scored 6 goals in all competitions including a pair against Brackley Town recently in the Northants Senior Cup.
