Hi all,
Those of you that have been playing a while will remember my extremely popular tactic set for FM07 (the most downloaded tactic available), I've not been on the scene a great deal since then, but thought I'd have a crack at FM11.
This tactic is based upon the principals of my previous set, which follows a couple of simple principles:
• Stick as closely as possible to a 4-4-2
• Play attractive attacking football
• Get 3 attacking players in the box for any cross
I'm still working on the tactic and want to at least complete a season before posting, I'm looking for set piece advice - particularly

Position - Position Type (example player from Tottenham - I'm using the deafult squad + a couple of young future prospects)
• SCL - Attack, Poacher (Defoe): The most important player, if he dosn't perform you will lose. (NB: invest in a decent poacher.)
• SCR - Attack, Trequartista (Crouch/Pav): This tactic uses two fairly defensive central midfilder, so the Trequartista is vital to keep the front line linked it: somebody with good strength, agility and passing - expect him to be making through balls to the AML and the SCL
• AML - Attack, Inside Forward (Bale/VDV): VDV has been surprising good here, this is your third man in the box, they will look to cut inside and get into the box as a third striker.
• AMR - Attack, Winger (Lennon): An out and out winger, will get down the flank and cross the ball in...the idea being that the above 3 players are waiting for it - This guy wont see as much of the ball as the rest of the team, his passing number are normally lower...but what you're looking for is assists, not for him to be involved in every movement. (NB: I'm still debating whether this should be swicthed to support)
• CML - Defensive, Deep Lying Playmaker (Huddleston/Placios): Sit's in midfield and rarely ventures forward, holds the middle of the park - have swicthed to a play maker as Huddleston is capable of picking out some great passes - if you;re a big team think Essien and similar here.
• CMR - Support, Deep Lying Playmaker (Moderic/VDV): This is where you're gifted technical AMC will often end up, he won't get forward as much as we'd like to see, but he will pick out long through-balls and generally keep the team ticking.....VDV gets the occasional 30+yarder from here too.
• FBL/FBR - Supporting, FBs (A.Ekotto/Hutton): Typical FBs, defensive duties, but should look to get the ball up the field to support attacks (NB: Debating switch to automatic)
• CDs - Cover Defenders (King/Gallas): 1 Cover and 1 stopper - it helps that Tottenham has big strong but slow CBs for this position (NB: these two are proving very hard to get right, the overall defnsive record speaks for it'self, but they conceed needlessly lazy goals - ie somebody will run right past them to get on a cross)

IMPORTANT
• I'm not a believer in plug and play tactics - This tactic was built around Tottenham and works well for Tottenham.
• It used short/fast passing and ambitious through-balls - therefore you need a technically gifted team.
• I've tested with Stoke/Blackpool and it 禁用词语ed - you have been warned.
• The poacher is by far the most important player, if he dosn't perform the team will fail, so buy a decent poacher or have one already.
TO DO
• Defensive corners are conceeding too many goals - open to edits here.
• Defence needs tweaking, too mnay players ghosting in behind.
• We're still struggling away - away results should be tougher, but I feel the game has emphasied this TOO much.
